Fit Mix is a unique blend of kickboxing, body-sculpting, yoga & Pilates that will get you excited about exercise! The classes are broken down by body part so it works much like personal training, but with the affordability of group fitness.


Fitness Biography

I have been training for 24 years and I have never lost my passion for fitness since day one. I graduated from Brooks County High School in 1989 and joined the United States Army 5 months later. While in Basic Training, I realized how much I loved pushing myself to excel physically. When injury made me take a break from running, I began doing my training in the gym environment. There I was able to train myself and others who could not participate in our regular fitness regimen.

This carried on through my tour in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Shield/Storm where I served my country as a Communication Security Specialist. With little to no equipment available, we still found ways to stay active and fit. When I returned home, I realized that nothing made me happier than exercise as both a hobby and possible career.  I completed my 4 years in the Army and went back to college for Marketing and Management, with my primary focus being on Entrepreneurship.  It was during my program I wrote my business plan for FitMix , but at that time I referred to it as One on One Fitness. It was based on both personal training and small group fitness geared towards individual needs.

Knowing definitively that I wanted to work in the fitness industry, I began studying for and training thru the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), where I became certified as a personal trainer & group fitness instructor for my first time in 1994. I continued in sales and training with several gyms throughout the years, but I always knew that having my own personal training and group fitness facility was my ultimate goal.

In 2008, I created my own workout classes called Kick Fit. My love for kickboxing really took off! During Kick Fit classes we would warm up with intense kickboxing and then go into body sculpting and core training for the rest of class. My classes grew until I decided to go out on my own with my format, and not teach in a traditional gym environment. Many people are intimidated in a typical gym, so by doing it separately I could ease this nervousness.

After trying every type of training known to man, I realized the best results came from the combination of them into one class. This is when Fit Mix was born!!! Fit Mix is a unique blend of Kickboxing, Body Sculpting, Pilates, & Yoga which gives amazing results! Learning more about all types of training has made me versatile enough to train anyone at any fitness level. I’m now certified in Kickboxing, Group Fitness, Personal Training, Barre, Pilates & both regular and Tabata Boot Camp.  Now, I bring it all together for a full fitness experience that will bring my clients strength, coordination, flexibility, & endurance like nothing else.

These tools are what I use in personal training every day, so my clients get the results they have desired but missed.  I can help with weight loss, body sculpting, and overall health by teaching the tools of fitness that truly work! After spending over half of my life not only researching, but giving it all I have with hands-on training, I can definitely get my clients heading in the right direction for overall health and fitness. I’m so proud to finally be able to have my own business to help the most people possible in a comfortable environment.  Fit Mix Group Fitness & Personal Training, is what your workouts have been missing.
